MFCA Club members meet on a regular basis, on the 1st Friday of every month at 7:30pm, on the second floor suite of the Artisans' Hall professional Building. It is located at 8100 Roosevelt Boulevard, in Northeast Philadelphia.

We bring along works in progress, new acquistions, books and articles, and just about anything of general interest to the hobby.

Everyone is welcome to join us!

The MFCA Show and Mart is one of the largest shows of its kind in the world. There is a large display area of miniature figures and models. Most of the figures are of connoisseur quality, miniature works of art in a variety of scales, from a few inches in height to almost a foot tall. Some are single figures on foot or horse and some are arranged as groups. Others are models of tanks, ships and planes in all the most common scales. There are even a few box dioramas, miniature stagings of historic scenes.

Artists come from all over the world to attend and display. Visitors from Canada, Great Britain, France, Spain and Italy are common. In recent years there have been hundreds of displays. The area is divided into sections, and awards in the form of certificates and medals are given for the best work. A list of awards is posted elsewhere.

There is a modest charge to enter the contest to defray some of the cost. There is a special area for those who want to display their work, but might be uncomfortable competing with the master artists of the world. Of course, the Grand Masters often display, but are only allowed to compete for Gold Medals.

If this were not enough, there is a giant sales area with nearly one hundred dealers on over two hundred tables selling everything for the hobbyist. Painted and unpainted figures from around the world are available, including those beautiful figures from Russia. New and old toy soldiers are present. Books for the lover of military history and tools for the modeler are to be found. Used and new figures and collections are available for sale by private collectors and large dealers.

For the first-time visitor, it is an awesome experience and for many collectors it is an event not to be missed.

To our friends and patrons,

With the increasing spread of the Wuhan virus, and the measures both the federal and state governments have enacted to limit travel and physical contact, we regret that we have decided to cancel our 2020 Show & Mart. It's not a decision we make lightly, but recognizing that your health may be at risk, and that so many exhibitors, patrons, and vendors are avoiding undertaking traveling to such events, it is a necessary decision.

For those of you who had already made reservations at the Radisson Philadelphia-Northeast, the hotel is cancelling all room reservations without any penalties or other costs to you.

For our vendors, we're returning your table reservations in full.

On a positive note, we have our dates for next year's show. The 2021 Show & Mart will be held on Friday, April 30th, and Saturday, May 1, 2021.

We look forward to seeing everyone next year, even moreso because we can't meet this year.

With our best wishes for your health and that of your loved ones,

the members of the Miniature Figure Collectors of America
